A Window Problem With
An Unexpected Ending
If the largest window in your house has an issue, you’re likely not a happy camper. And when Cisco believed he’d need a window replacement in Chicago, IL, he was already quite annoyed.
So, he called Apex Exteriors, Inc.
Everything changed for Cisco, and once our visit to his home concluded, he couldn’t have been happier.
At Apex Exteriors, we offer exterior home remodeling services that will leave your neighbors in awe. And that’s in addition to our spectacular customer service.
An Older, Leaking Window
Cisco’s home has a large picture window that’s over a decade and a half old, and well, time takes its toll. He began noticing a leak whenever heavy rain moved through the area, and he knew what that meant.
Cisco was going to have to replace his window.
He began his search for a home remodeling company, and he found Apex Exteriors. He then met one of our consultants, Carlos Hernandez.
“Our house had a 16-year-old original 6’x5’ foyer picture window that leaked every time there was heavy rain. Dreading the inevitable cost and inconvenience of replacing the largest window in the house, we reluctantly called various BBB-rated companies for quotes. We settled on Apex Exterior, Inc. and scheduled an appointment with Senior Exterior Consultant Carlos Hernandez.”
At Apex Exteriors, we understand that a leak can be very inconvenient. So, we’ll strive to schedule you as soon as possible when you call us with an issue.
An Incredible Exterior Home Inspection
Carlos visited Cisco’s home to inspect the window and the damage it had caused. And Cisco noticed just how knowledgeable he was.
While Cisco was expecting the worst, he was going to be in for quite a surprise.
“When he arrived, I showed him the window and the water marks from the leaking. He was professional and courteous, and he seemed knowledgeable about windows. He started his interior and exterior inspection of the window. As he climbed down from his 16’ ladder leaning against the front of the house, he had a slight smile on his face.”
Our inspections, whether they’re for windows, roofs, or any other exterior we service, are professional and thorough.
And we ONLY make recommendations based on what will best serve you and your home.
A Simple Fix For A Massive Headache
Cisco may never have heard of “weep holes.” But Carlos was happy to explain. And after doing so, he proceeded to correct the window’s leaking issue.
Just like that, problem solved.
“Carlos proceeded to explain that our window has ”weep holes” which allow water to build up and drain out of the window frame. His inspection revealed that our weep holes were filled in with caulking. Carlos climbed back up the ladder and proceeded to remove the caulk from the exterior right side weep hole with a screwdriver, and water started pouring out. He then repositioned the ladder and unplugged the left weep hole, and more water poured out. He assured me that this was the source of the leak.”
If we can solve the issue right then and there, we will.
Apex Exteriors takes a customer-centric approach from start to finish of every project. And sometimes, the project is a simple repair one afternoon.
The Cost Of The Window Repair
Cisco was relieved when he learned that, instead of replacing the largest window in his home, he would only have to pay to have it repaired.
Then, he went from relief to elation when Carlos told him that there’d be no charge for the simple repair.
“I was extremely happy that we would be incurring the cost of a window repair bill instead of a full window replacement. I was even happier when he told me there was no charge. No charge for an anticipated window replacement, which we were fully expecting to pay out of pocket!”
And just as Carlos assured him, those weep holes were the issue, and it was resolved.
“I write this review two months after the repair, with at least five rainstorms, and there are no leaks.”
Cisco couldn’t have had nicer things to say about Apex Exteriors after we visited his home.
“In addition to being professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, Carlos was considerate, decent, and trustworthy. I would highly recommend Apex Exterior, Inc.”
