Is An Initial Consultation Really Needed?
Yes! Velux is a fantastic company, but many people get lost in its complex website, dozens of brochures, and product information library, including a video archive. Our consultants know it all and focus on you and your project needs. They narrow the field and make the process easier.

Do You Offer Skylight Repair Services?
Yes, but unfortunately many skylights cannot be repaired. Our expert team will come out and inspect your skylights to determine if it can be repaired or if the only real option is to replace the skylight entirely. Usually the repairs that can be made are minor caulking repairs caused by old and failing skylight seals & gaskets, but those tend to only be temporary fixes that need more caulking every year or so. Sometimes the source of the leak is the actual flashing around the skylight and if that’s your case, you’re in luck as this can be cost effectively repaired. Most of the OEM replacement parts on older model skylights have also been discontinued making other potentially viable repair options obsolete. If this doesn’t answer your question fully, it’s worth asking our team about your specific issues as we can send a team member out to your home and examine your specific skylight(s) issue and provide sound advice on what your best options are.
How Do Velux Skylights Increase Energy Efficiency?
Their natural lighting and passive heating throughout the year reduce your need for artificial lighting and HVAC. For those with models that open, the skylights provide great ventilation in the summer months as well. Most of their products are ENERGY STAR qualified for our region.
