Our Shingle Installation Expertise Is Your Key
To A Top-Tier Chicagoland Roofing Project
Nothing Beats Apex’s Certified Professional Status
There are two key elements to any successful Chicagoland roof replacement project. The first is top-quality roofing material from a trusted manufacturer. The second is a roofing company capable of installing this material with precision and care.
One without the other just won’t do.
At Apex Exteriors, we don’t just meet these key criteria. We embody their highest principles.
Our go-to roofing materials include world-class asphalt shingles from industry stalwart CertainTeed. And our expertise in installing these shingles puts us in the top tier of all contractors working anywhere in the U.S.! There’s just no better way to guarantee a successful project for you and your local home.
Why We Feature CertainTeed Roofing Materials
CertainTeed is one of the Big Three in the U.S. asphalt shingle market. We can use all three of these manufacturers on Chicagoland projects, and have done so in the past.
However, today, our clear recommended option is CertainTeed.
Why? Years of experience have taught us that its shingles provide excellent all-around performance. What’s more, CertainTeed’s warranties stand apart for their coverage of a specific type of manufacturer’s defect – severe granule loss.
Your asphalt roof needs these tiny particles for maximum UV and fire protection. They’re also vital to retaining your shingles’ original color. This means that heavy loss of them is a big deal.
Granules can be lost for various reasons. But if CertainTeed’s product quality is ever to blame, they’ll help us address the issue ASAP.
A Proactive Approach To Your Roof Problems
There’s a good chance you’ll never have to use your CertainTeed warranty. Their products are just that good.
However, if you do need help, the company’s proactive approach may take you by surprise.
Here’s an example of this approach in action. Recently, we got a call from one of our local roof replacement customers. Just months after their installation, a sloppy third-party contractor left paint streaks all over the brand-new shingles on their roof dormers.
So, we reached out to CertainTeed to see what, if anything, they could do. Their solution – replace the entire roof all over again, at no charge to the customer. Now that’s a responsive shingle manufacturer!
Our Status As CertainTeed Roofing Experts
Like many roofing manufacturers, CertainTeed rates the qualifications of the contractors who install its products. The higher your rating, the greater your skill level as a certified professional. You’re also allowed to provide your customers with better product warranties.
How does CertainTeed rate Apex Exteriors? In the top 1% of all roofing professionals across the country.
Not just in the greater Chicago area. In all 50 states!
Your Chicagoland Select ShingleMasters
CertainTeed’s term for our certification level is Select ShingleMaster. To earn this esteemed ranking, we must:
- Meet all criteria for a financially stable, legally operated roofing company
- Only employ project managers who are master craftsmen
- Use crews composed of at least 50% master craftsmen
- Keep a certified shingle quality specialist on staff
We also participate in annual training sessions provided by the manufacturer. These sessions ensure that we’re always up-to-date on current professional standards. They also ensure that we’re ahead of the curve for any new roofing product innovations.
Only 12% of all Chicago-area contractors carry any CertainTeed certification at all. And just 5% qualify as Select ShingleMasters. To say we’re in rare company is an understatement.
Our status may well soar even higher in the future.
CertainTeed is currently creating a certification tier above Select ShingleMaster. And Apex is at the head of the line for entry into this new, elite category.
